This weeks challenge at iHeart Faces is "By the Book."  During last year's 365 Project, I took several photos that included books, but this one was my favorite!  Little man loves some quiet time before his nap, especially when it includes a good fire truck book!

iHeart Faces Photo Challenge...Anything but faces

This weeks challenge at iHeart Faces is "Anything but Faces."  We had just a great session last week with a "Cookies and Milk" theme and this is one of my favorites from the shoot.  My little guy sure loves cookies!

Oh, the Places We Go!

After quite a hiatus I am finally back! It has been an unbelievably busy Summer and Fall, including visits to 10 different states in just over 3 months! Here are a couple of my favorite pics from our recent travels!

Our fun began with a roadtrip to St. Louis, MO for a family vacation and to watch Ray's favorite baseball team, the Cardinals.

A couple of weeks later Ray had to travel to Chicago, IL for work, and I jumped at the chance to visit the Windy City. It did not disappoint.

Next Carter and I headed to Utah for a couple of weeks to see my brother who returned from 2 years in South Africa. Ray was able to join us for a few days also. We were able to get some family pictures with the Formans while we were there.

Finally, we headed last minute to San Francisco with Ray on another work trip. Another place I hadn't been, and it was a lot of fun.

Hopefully updates will be a bit more frequent now that life has settled down a bit...at least for now!

The Griffith Family

I had my first attempt at family pictures! And it wasn't a true attempt, seeing as I was part of the family! I underestimated how hard it would be to try to control a situation that included 8 people, especially since I had to be in the picture...but I think it was a good learning experience nonetheless. We really only got one pose, and luckily we got a shot with everyone looking in the general direction of the camera! This one is pretty representative of most of the attempts!

My favorites were the pictures I got of my neices Leila and Mya, what gorgeous girls! I think the evening lighting is really nice too.
